PARCR MISSION STATEMENT
To educate and inform residents of continuing care retirement/life plan communities in Pennsylvania
by promoting the exchange of ideas, education, and civic
responsibilities of residents;
To encourage members to seek to be a part of informed
decision-making in their community.
PARCR provides relevant and timely information that is valuable to residents of retirement communities. Our primary communications vehicle is our Quarterly Meetings, held either at a member retirement community, or virtually as needed. The meetings feature speakers that address vital topics for seniors such as personal and cyber security, dealing with health issues such as stroke and dementia, Social Security, and industry trends in senior living.
Community
The Pennsylvania Alliance of Retirement Community Residents (PARCR) serves over thirty (30) Continuing Care Retirement Communities/Life Plan Communities representing over 7,500 independent residents or 18,000+ individuals in all areas of continuous care. Member communities designate three delegates from their resident council or association to serve as liaisons between PARCR and their community. Membership is also open to individual community members who are interested in taking an active role in the organization.
